Chinese Boxing is a modern form of Chinese Kung Fu: It
amalgates the best ideas and techniques of different styles,
including the aspect of physical health and a realistic self
defense.
Chinese Boxing underlies no restrictions nor any rules: It exercises
and uses the whole body.
Students experience the basic principles of the traditional Internal
Martial Arts, e.g. T'ai Chi Chu'an or Hsing-I Chu'an. Modern and
adequate additions of those techniques are enabling every student
top master conflicting situations – also those being allegedly physical inferior.
Selective fitness and technical exercises strengthen the
health and ensure basic physical motoric movements, without
pressure during our training. All this makes the lessons optimal and balanced for every
student. They don't have to worry too much about different
styles, but still gain an insight into the tradition. After a short
time everybody has found his way to feel good and to do something
for his/her body.
The result of this exercising concept is the consciousness of having an effective
self defense and a good feel for the own body, more physical health and
a mentally balanced mind in "normal" life.
We practice in West Hamburg. During the warmer months, we're outdoors in Volkspark on Wednesdays, and in other parks along the Elbe river. In winter, we train at the why-not-Cafe in Altona, currently on Thursdays. Would you like to join us or try it out for free?
